Dr. Ward’s extensive educational credentials include a five-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery followed by completion of a Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship culminating in board certification in facial plastic surgery. This highly coveted training provided extensive training in the area of complex cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and provided the foundation for him to develop his practice focusing on rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, facelift, blepharoplasty, and cosmetic injectables.

Lisa (Elisabeth) Folkman
Lisa Folkman, Director of Operations at the Ward Institute, combines extensive healthcare experience with a strong commitment to patient care.
Lisa began her career as a Certified Medical Assistant, gaining experience in cardiology, vascular surgery, urgent care, family medicine, and oncology at institutions like the University of Utah, Primary Children’s Hospital, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. With a background as a Cosmetologist, she developed a passion for aesthetics and is dedicated to patient safety, comfort, and the life-changing impact of cosmetic procedures.
An entrepreneur and founder of Wicked Good Salsa, Lisa also manages operations at Ward Institute, overseeing HR, payroll, financial planning, surgical coordination, and staff management with integrity and compassion. She is a strong patient advocate, ensuring everyone feels informed and supported.
Now settled in Utah, Lisa enjoys life with her pets, four grown children, and six grandchildren. She’s a devoted fan of hockey, football, and baseball—rooting for teams like the Detroit Red Wings, Utah Mammoth, Michigan Wolverines, and Detroit Tigers (with a soft spot for the Red Sox).

My expertise lies in beauty treatments, and I utilize advanced techniques and technologies to address acne scarring to signs of aging and hyperpigmentation. I also have extensive expertise in laser hair removal, microneedling, chemical peels, and laser treatments.

Karyn, a graduate from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, is a passionate medical assistant and esthetician dedicated to helping others feel their best—mind, body, and soul.
With four years’ experience in Otolaryngology and Medical Aesthetics, she blends expertise with heart to create impactful, feel-good experiences. Whether crafting wellness programs, assisting in the OR, or simply sharing good vibes, Karyn believes that true well-being starts with connection, intention, and a little bit of joy.
When Karyn is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, her dog Tater, and watching her favorite sports teams, The New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.

Hi, I’m Natalie Maughan, and I hold a Master’s degree in Nursing Science and Education.
With over 16 years of experience as a nurse, I’ve spent the last 6 years specializing in aesthetics. My passion lies in helping others feel confident and beautiful. I particularly enjoy performing lip fillers and our signature tox treatments.
My goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and safe, offering you red carpet treatment every time. I can’t wait to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ashley! I am the Patient Care Coordinator here at Ward Institute.
While Utah will always be home, I’m currently loving life in Missouri with my three kiddos and two furry family members. I’m here at The Ward Institute to offer you extra support and help make things easier. I work remotely, assisting with scheduling your consultations and answering questions about financial assistance.
Having been a patient myself before joining the team a year ago, I truly understand what it’s like to take that first step. If I don’t know the answer right away, you can bet I’ll find someone who does! My favorite part of being here is helping people feel confident and ready to embrace positive change.

I have been a part of Form Spa and Ward MD for five years! First, I was a patient of Dr. Ward for my rhinoplasty in 2018 and became a member.
I loved attending the events and getting to know the staff. I loved using the FormRx products, getting HydraFacials and of course Botox. In the Fall of 2019, I was hired to work at the front desk and moved to the administrative side in January 2020. During Covid, I worked from home managing the membership program and have been managing it since!
I am super fortunate to work from home with my two littles. I tell people that I enjoy being able to use my adult brain in between playing and accomplishing all my mom-duty responsibilities.

Hi! My name is Olivia and I’m originally from Utah and graduated from Lone Peak High School.
I then went on to cheer for the University of Utah, which is where I really found my passion for confidence, wellness, and aesthetics.
Right now, I’m in school working toward becoming a registered nurse, with the goal of eventually becoming a cosmetic nurse injector. I love the idea of combining clinical skill with creativity to help people feel like the best version of themselves.
As the Client Relations Coordinator here at the Ward Institute, I’m one of the first people you’ll talk to—and I’m here to help make your journey smooth, supportive, and exciting. I love getting to know each patient and being part of the transformation from start to finish.

With over a decade of experience in customer service, he has developed a deep understanding of client needs. In addition to working in tech, Christian also works part-time as a certified sports nutrition specialist, focusing on low-carb and keto lifestyles. Bringing together technical expertise, people skills, and a passion for health and wellness, he offers a well-rounded, thoughtful approach to every professional and personal endeavor.
